About Individual Aquamation
Water Cremation - aka aquamation, alkaline hydrolysis, bio cremation - uses gentle water flow, temperature and alkalinity to accelerate our ecosystem’s natural method of breaking down and decomposing organic matter. Ashes remain at the end of the process, similar to flame cremation.
Compared to flame cremation, aquamation emits no greenhouse gases, expends 10% of the energy and has a 75% lower carbon footprint.
At Resting Waters, your loved one is placed into their own six-sided, stainless steel enclosure within the aquamation chamber keeping them separate from all other companions who are also present during the aquamation process inside of their own six-sided, stainless steel enclosure - ensuring that you are receiving only your loved one's remains.
